Who are we?

A team of people with extensive healthcare and academic experience with the medical care of patients as the fundamental axis of their professional practice.

Where do we come from? A centenary service.

The Otorhinolaryngology Service of our hospital was officially created in 1917, with Dr. J. M. Masip as the first head of service.
However, in1889, the hospital already had a "consultation for diseases of the throat, ear and nose", promoted by Dr. Ricardo Botey, hospital consultant and recognized as one of the pioneers of our specialty.

Otology and Otoneurosurgery.

Otology is the branch of ENT that studies and treats diseases of the ear and alterations in its two main functions: hearing and balance.

Rinology and Skull base endoscopic surgery.

Rhinology is the branch of ENT that studies and treats diseases of the nose, nostrils and paranasal sinuses, whether functional, inflammatory or tumoral.

L

Laringology and Head and Neck surgery.

Laryngology is the branch of ENT that studies and treats diseases of the upper aerodigestive tract and the voice, whether functional, inflammatory or tumoral.
